On April 2-3, the 2025 Data Center Cooling Summit Forum (Yangtze River Delta), hosted by the Chinese Association of Refrigeration, was successfully held in Shanghai. HOYINN (Huailai) Technology Industrial Campus was awarded the industry-recognized "2024 Data Center Liquid Cooling Excellence Case" for its pioneering practices in deploying liquid cooling technology at scale within its new green computing cluster.
Driven by the dual forces of rising AI computing chip power consumption and increasingly stringent carbon neutrality policies, the large-scale application of liquid cooling technology has become a critical path to overcoming thermal bottlenecks and reducing Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE). However, the data center industry still faces challenges such as high initial investment, complex design and implementation, safety risks, and operational difficulties when adopting liquid cooling.
During his keynote speech, Liquid Cooling Revolution in the Age of Intelligent Computing, Xu Longyun, a liquid cooling expert at Hoyinn, emphasized that efficient, green, secure, reliable, and flexible solutions are key to advancing the large-scale application of liquid cooling technology. He highlighted the need to holistically evaluate the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, reliability, and adaptability of liquid cooling solutions to align with business requirements, environmental factors, and operational demands.
To date, Hoyinn’s green computing cluster has completed full-scenario validation—from single cabinets to campus-level deployments—through pre-research on liquid cooling technology. By raising water supply temperatures by 10°C–20°C, eliminating compressors, reducing heat exchange steps, and increasing the annual natural cooling ratio, the cluster-level liquid cooling solution achieves higher efficiency. Compared to traditional chilled water systems, the liquid cooling project reduces Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE) by 45%, improves PUE efficiency by 25%, and boosts Cooling Load Factor (CLF) efficiency by 50%.
As a cornerstone of sustainable green computing, Hoyinn is driving the evolution of green computing infrastructure in the AI era. This recognition as the 2024 Data Center Liquid Cooling Excellence Case will inspire Hoyinn to continue innovating, leveraging thermal management breakthroughs to deliver sustainable solutions for high-density computing and inject robust momentum into the digital economy.
